My name is Mark Deavall 

 

I've spent much of my life learning, working, questioning and, perhaps most importantly, growing.

 

My journey as a follower of Jesus has taught me that faith isn't simply about being saved. It's about becoming a disciple—and discovering what it really means to live in the freedom Jesus offers.

 

Over the years I've become increasingly fascinated by Scripture. Not just reading what it says, but digging into it. Asking questions. Challenging assumptions. Looking beneath the familiar answers to discover the truth buried there.

 

That journey eventually led to Breaking Chains — first as an idea, then as a website and YouTube channel.

 

It's where I share what I'm discovering as I dig into God's Word: the things that challenge me, the things that surprise me, and the things that have changed the way I think and live.

 

I'm still digging.

 

And if something I uncover helps someone else break free and live a richer life, then the digging is worthwhile.
