Trust is one of the most misunderstood facets of leadership.
Too often, people think trust is something you wear when it suits you — a cloak to pull on during critical meetings, or with critical decisions. But true leadership doesn’t work that way.
A leader is defined by trustworthiness. Period.
Trust isn’t optional. It isn’t selective. It isn’t conditional. A leader is trust — 24/7, in all situations, with everyone, without exception.
And the moment we treat it as anything less, we lose not only credibility but the very influence leadership demands.
