How Badly Do You Want It?
28 October 2025
The year was 1975.
The place? A boring training room.
The reason I was there? To learn how to sell life insurance.
Our facilitator asked each of us what we wanted from the course. I said: “I want to be the best Life Insurance salesman in the world.”
Without missing a beat he asked: “How badly do you want that?”
That simple question hit deep. It’s not just about desire—it’s about commitment.
It asks: Are you willing to push past obstacles, excuses, and discomfort to make it happen?
Wanting something isn’t enough. Everyone “wants” success, health, happiness, or their dream. But the real question is:
This isn’t hustle culture. It’s clarity. When you want something badly enough, your choices align with it. You don’t just wish - you work for it.
Next time you’re chasing a dream, ask yourself: How badly do I want it?
If the answer is “more than I’ve ever wanted anything,” you already have the fire - you just need to keep fuelling it.
🔥 If you want something you’ve never had, do something you’ve never done!
